What's available for A2/A1 stocked rifles in the way of single-point sling mounts? Everything that I'm finding seems to want a M4-style buttstock/buffer tube.....

Check into the Tango Down PR16 sling mount. It goes over the existing buttstock and doesn't interfere with the charging handle. I bought one for my son's issued M16A4 and he's been using it in Iraq since he deployed last December.

Got a neat one made by Daniel Defence from Brownell's I think. It goes between the front of the stock (over the recoil tube) and and the lower, and has a spacer at the other end and an extended screw. That is all it took. It gives me the option to use a single point or a standard sling on my 3 Gun match rifle.
