I am a fan of the single-shot lever rifles from the 60s-70s era. The most common is the Ithaca 49 with a Martini action. I see a lot of those in rough to nice condition. Many, many made. However, it rather surprises me that I do not see a clone of the 49 made by Savage....the Stevens 89 that came out about 1976 and was made until about 1984. I have one of these and I also have one made for Western Auto that is the Revelation 103 but has Savage Stevens rolled right on the barrel like the 89. Anyway, these are the only two I have seen offered in the last 7 months or so of going to gunshows, gunshops, and checking the internet. Not that I am thinking this model is valuable. It isn't. I am just curious how many others have seen out there??????
