WI: do you REALLY want concealed carry?

If so, sound off. Tell us what you're doing.

While we're all doing what we're trying to do, Doyle has turned the issue of corruption upside-down.

At the beginning of this year, it was pretty obvious that Doyle had been shaking down state contractors for campaign donations.

Now, he has Green playing defense over false claims that Green "illegally" used federal campaign funds for his run for governor.

Isn't anyone out there boiling over with outrage? Isn't there anyone who's ready to do whatever it takes to boot Doyle from office?

There are many THR members who've been working for years to get legal concealed carry in WI. Some have reached the burnout stage.

But, is this what it has come down to? Are Doyle's blatantly illegal, immoral, and patently corrupt machinations enough for so many WI gun owners to just say, "ok, I give up?"

God, I hope not. Because, if so many are willing to just lie down and take it, we will never become a free state.

And, if Doyle wins, I see no point in continuing the fight. If Doyle wins, the handwriting is already on the wall.

The power of the internet has been overwhelmingly on our side. But the number of keyboard commando masturbators has increased in parallel.

Drove an hour to walk 45 minutes in a parade then work 2 hours at a phone bank for Mark Green.

Will also be going around to local gun/shooting clubs to make sure people go and vote for Green!

Now that Mark can't use all the money in his war chest we'll have to get more people out there and spread the word by mouth.

Thanks for your work, Louie.

For gun owners, everything hangs in the balance in this election. Not just the right of people to be able to defend themselves against criminal attack, but the right of hunters, trapshooters, plinkers and others to continue their lawful and God-given rights to their interests.

Back in 1990, Wisconsin gun groups issued warnings about James Doyle. Unfortunately, the gun owners didn't see the threat, despite his record as an anti-gun legislator.

The battlelines have been so clearly drawn that only the most myopic of gun owners could miss them.

And only the most naive of WI voters could believe Jim Doyle.

The results of the November 7th election will resonate for years.

Governor James Doyle is the proud son of a family of "Wisconsin Progressives" who spent their time in the legislature turning WI into a socialist state.

Governor James Doyle is a proud advocate of every form of gun control, including banning all ammunition.

And, yet, there are some who just don't have the time to help to defeat him. Worse yet are those who think he "can't be all that bad."

Jim Doyle has used his political muscle like Al Capone. He has extorted legislators who previously had good records on gun issues--Gary Sherman, Terry Van Akkeren, and John Steinbrink--into near alienation, and all for Doyle's anti-gun beliefs.

Doyle sank the career of one state Senator James Baumgardt--a state senator who was welcomed at every pro-gun event--by getting Baumgardt to author a bill banning ammunition.

Doyle and his thugs have twisted arms and threatened, bribed and cajoled the most gun-friendly legislators we have to turn their backs on their own constituents.

In 2004, one freshman legislator came out of the minority leader's office in tears, after voting to override Doyle's veto of the CCW bill.

A corrupt, vengeful, immoral, disgraceful, criminal and tyrannical governor: haven't you had enough?

Haven't you had enough to get you out on the streets for Mark Green?

You're absolutely right I've had enough.

I've been trying very hard to promote awareness in the college community. It may seem foolish to you, but I'm actually getting through to a lot of people through Facebook. Still, I'm not reaching enough people, and the people I am reaching aren't active enough to help me promote it except in a few cases.

If there's something you know of that I can do, if you need a fresh volunteer, by all means let me know. I want to be helping this cause much more than I am right now.

In all seriousness, let me know how I can help.

I am torn right now. I really do believe that Doyle needs to be out, for more reasons other then CCW, but that does help. The problem is that most people I know here equate Green with Bush and, for some unfathomable reason, don't listnen to me when I present logic and facts... sigh.

As for getting more active; I would love too but I am strapped for time between classes and work (trying to graduate this semester) AND chances are real good that I am moving to Texas as soon as I graduate anyhow. I guess you could say that I have been so frustrated by this campus that I am just burned out.

I helped start up a group of college republicans who are backing Green just this afternoon. We're going to be as active as we can be with what is currently a low membership. But we're working on that.

Its tricky, because we have to maneuver around the Gay Marriage ban and convince people that the rest of what Mark Green stands for vastly outweighs that one issue. On a college campus, its not going to be easy. But if it were easy, we wouldn't need to do it.

At least its something that if nothing else gets the name out there.

This recent news about Doyle's cronies in the elections board banning Green from spending here has me steamed.

What's the best website to keep up to date on election goings on and opportunities to help ditch the commie rat Doyle.

I'm not a big fan of Green but Doyle has got to go.

I don't think that even the Dems are fully supporting Doyle anymore-I sincerely hope that we Dump Doyle

I do too, but I think its very important that we maintain a positive and professional message, especially when it comes to colleges. Because that puts us on the high ground when people yell dumb things like "why aren't you guys in Iraq?" It automatically discredits that ridiculous crap and pushes them a little further toward our side.
