Thanks for taking my suggestion. Did you see my reply on my original page?

PP,

The blue PT1911 is actually out, on shelves.. Expect to pay $450 to $500, maybe less if you catch one at the gun show.

The stainless model - which I personally am waiting for - is due out before the end of the year. Thats the most I can tell ya.

I just bought a blued one for $529. A bit more than I wanted to pay, but it was the only one in town. Nobody at the show had one either. Put 150 round through it without a hitch. The gun feels really good too. Fit and finish are very good. Love it.

Can't wait to get a CCO model. THAT will be the shiznet. :evil:

I am waiting for the stainless one also. I am debating wether to wait for this one or go ahead and get the .40 one they have out already. I already have a 1911 Kimber in .45 so the Taurus PT940 might be a good option to have something different.

Just last week, I sold two new Taurus PT-1911's (blue steel) for $459.88 NIB.
Looks like Taurus may have put their best foot forward on the 1911 project;
as these guns looked rather nice. I didn't field strip either of 'em, as time did
not allow for such; customer's where standing in line waiting too see this new
baby from Taurus~!:D :uhoh: Havent seen a stainless version, yet.:scrutiny:

I like 'em in general. I'd inspect it very carefully, tho, before buying one. The one I looked at (yes, a sampling rate of one) :) had some fitment issues that would cause all sorts of feed issues with HP ammo. Specifically, the frame had been cut back/polished below the barrel ramp too deeply and the barrel actually overhung the ramp by a good 1/16".
