I found another Kimber Series I, and will be picking it up in about 30 days. It is a standard Kimber Custom. It has the standard fixed sight.

I am looking for recommendations for a fully adjustable back sight with tritium dots. This gun will be used for SD in the home, CCW, and a lot of range work. Sorry y'all...fixed sights just don't stay on many of my guns.

Thanks,

Dobe

Hello, sir. MMC offers an adjustable rear sight for the Kimber 1911.
I do not have one personally, but a friend has one on his Kimber and the sight's held up well. He carries it daily. I helped sight it in and there were no problems. The sight has held true zero over about a year-and-a-half with his load of choice, Remington 230 gr Golden Saber. Adjustment's not quite as easy as on a Bomar, but it is NOT difficult and the sight requires no machining of the slide. It's fairly compact and is available in tritium; that's what he has on his.

Best.

Thanks Stephen. After your advice, I looked these sights up on their website. They look nice. I will have them placed on my newly found treasure.
