I am brand new to the world of 10mm auto. I just bought a new Glock 29 and was wondering what would be the optimum spring weight for feeding it a steady diet of DoubleTap, Buffalo Bore, and Corbon Hunter types of ammunition. Would the stock spring suffice, or will an even stiffer spring just batter the gun to pieces

I have a G29 also.

I haven't changed out my springs yet. I'm experiencing 100% reliability and very manageable recoil, so why mess with "Glock Perfection"? :D (That's a joke) But perhaps I should. When I get a KKM barrel I will probably look into the same thing.

If you have questions, contact Mike McNett at DoubleTap and ask him. I believe he is quite a fan of the G29. And he does take calls himself in a very friendly manner.

Same here, no spring change. I shoot everything from mild 10mm reloads (450 ft-lbs.) to full power Double Tap loads (700 ft-lbs) with the stock recoil spring, no problem.
