Sadly though, it appears that SAR is becoming the Peter Kokalis magazine. I knoiw there are other people out there with more experience than he has on some weapons systems. They USED to write for SAR, but no for some reason are not published anymore. I guess they weren't lieing when they said they would not limit PK's length or number of articles.

It is also rumored that PK's articles are ghost writen as he is not firing on all cyliders anymore. After his last tirade at the SOF match, I can believe that.

as he is not firing on all cyliders anymore. I've read that this was the reason for his departure from SOF. Can you, or anyone else, please expound on this? I've been reading the occasional piece from him in SGN.

I honestly dont know all of the details of the command change at SOF, but he and a few others are gone. I have also noticed that they dont do the stories on OKC and things of that nature anymore. RKB doesn't get to say much anymore either. It is like they keep him around as a favor or something. He is just window dressing now.

Not only is Small Arms Review a good read, it's owned by some really generous people as well. They shipped us a boxload of their mags to read over in Afghanistan. Those were very popular reads. I think I read each one about 20 times.
