Which Beretta for Skunk?

Trying to decide between the 92G Elite IA, 92G Elite or the 92FS Vertec converted to cock & lock.

I want a 92G collection, so naturally I'd want the 92G Elite IA. Not sure if I want a 92G Elite, it's neat, but seems like a 92G Elite II that didn't go full term, but it gives me an excuse to buy another set of carbon fiber grips.

Also thinking about a plain-jane 92FS Vertec and converting it to cock & lock for the skunk factor.

Thoughts?

Personally I prefer the G models over the FS so it was easier for me. I wish I had never gotten rid of my Elite...:banghead:

Skunk,
I love my 92G VERTEC, especially after it was "Langdonized", and I think you should get one, but.....

You know they are coming out with a SINGLE ACTION VERTEC later in the year.....steel frame, single action ala the "Stock" model that is avialible in Europe. Just fits inside the IDPA box, and makes weight limit......WAY KEWL:D

Don't have a firm ETA yet, but I'm working my sources hard, and we should have an idea of the date soon.....I GOTTA HAVE ONE.

Will, is it like Rich's in the magazine? I.e. is yours a 92G Vertec Elite IA or just a 92G you lucky @#$@#?

When the heck is Beretta going to make a 92F with dovetailed frontsight dangit?!?!?!

I really want the Billenium. I'd have one by now if they were California approved :fire: :cuss:

I wish the new Vertec SA had carbon fiber grips like the Billenium though.

Skunk,
Mine is a "regular" 92G. I've always been a 1911 kinda guy, but I shoot shotguns for BERETTA, so I decided to try a BERETTA pistol for the little bit of IDPA shooting that I still do. Ernie recommended getting the 92G VERTEC.....which I did and sent straight to him. It turned out very shootable.....I won my first tournament[SSPclass] with it.

Next, I want this Single Action VERTEC with that they are going to release later this year.....ESP class here I come!

BTW, be sure you get Heinie sites for what ever you get.....IMHO, MUCH better than the NOVAK's that come on the ELITE2.

Personally, if I'd get another beretta, it'd be a L series.

I want a 92G Vertec baaaaad...but :cuss: California....and :cuss: Beretta insists .... 'But we have the Elite series!' ....but Beretta, I want a 92G standard slide without the ugly front serrations and Brigadier slide! 'But we have the Elites!' :cuss: gun companies! Go figure....

Ge the Vertec because I want one and I want to hear what you think of it after you shoot it. I really like the grip better than my 92FS but the rest of the gun didn't seem up to the quality of my 92FS. My 92FS is as smooth as they come with a great trigger, I was expecting the same from the Vertec but it looked a little rougher.

Dude, that's skunkaBILLY not skunkABILITY! There's a difference between a hillbilly skunk, and the ability to be a skunk! :p

That Vertec needs some serious Skunk grips on it.

Skunk, dude, I've been tellin' you to get a Vertec for the longest time! The more they sell the faster the accessories will start to roll out for them! :D

I converted mine to cocked and locked, too, and love it.;)

And after you buy all 3, buy a plane ticket and move to a state that will allow you to own full capacity mags.
