Hello everyone. I am new to the rifle country and was doing extensive research on which new rifle I should buy. I came across this really nice one:
Company: Ruger
Model: Mark II, M77CR Compact Rifle
Caliber: .308 :p
Action: Bolt Action
Price: Around $700.00
Overall Length: 35" inches
Overall Wieght: 5 7/8 pounds
Factory Magazine Capacity: 4+1 rounds
What do you guys think? Feedback would be much appreciated.

$700 is way too much. other than that, good gun - be sure you are ok w/ the shortened l.o.p.

I have a 77RL that I am very partial to. I like Ruger rifles a lot, if you like the Compact Rifle concept, the Ruger will be a very solid and totally servicable choice.

Ruger makes a decent base rifle. Crown the barrel, have the action slicked, trigger job, may want to get it bedded, get a scope with the target towers and you should be on your way.
I highly recommend Robar. They have done outstanding work on my Rugers.
FWIW, I like a LOP of 12.25. I'm 6'1" and wear a 34/35 sleeve. Short LOP is where it is at.:D
Here's the boys at Robar: http://www.robarguns.com/ They know what they are doing.

This is me at Thunder Ranch with a wayward Ruger 77RSI. Have had scope and rifle corrected by fine folks at Robar. Live and learn!:D
