I feel dumb asking, but I need to find the four rules of shooting. I am doing a paper on concealed carry and wanted a solid reference of what the four rules are.

Everytime I do a search on here it says it's too common to find anything useful.

So if anyone could give me links to good sites about concealed carry and the four rules that'd be great. Thanks guys!

(also any statistics would be helpful.)

Col. Jeff Cooper coined the Four Rules in this book (http://www.amazon.com/Modern-Technique-Pistol-Gregory-Morrison/dp/0962134236)

Here is one of the sights I found searching the net for Cooper, jeff, four, rules: http://www.knobcreekshoot.com/JeffCoopersgunrules.pdf#search='cooper%20jeff%20four%20rules'

Hope that helps,

They're great rules to know and, well, live by.

Jeff Cooper's Rules Of Gun Safety (http://www.lightlink.com/critters/gunsafety.htm)

1. All firearms are always loaded
2. Never let the muzzle of a firearm point at anything you are not willing to destroy
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot
4. Be sure of your target and what is behind it

Packing.org (http://www.packing.org/) is probably the best online CCW resource.
