i own one and i love it. at 100 yds i can put squirrels away all day long. i love the way this gun handles and i love the factory sights (even tho better ones can be bought). its a very handy gun, and im sure that you will enjoy it if you decide to pick one up.

I've got one in .22 LR--it's a keeper. Aren't 9422's no longer being made? If so, better get one while you can.

ive shot plenty of coyotes w/ my 94. most of the time w/i 75 yds...but ive taken some considerably further shots. the .22 mag in general is a good coyote round and i love lever guns...so its pretty much perfect for me. around here tho, sometimes we take some pretty long range shots on coyotes (wide open nebraska) so i use a .243 for further shots, and the .22 mag/.17hmr for closer shots.

I stated in another post about 9422 magnum that my buddy has been using one of these rifles to shoot squirrels for over twenty years.
He has also killed coyote, a couple of fox, several groundhogs and god only knows what else with that rifle.
Since he doesn't hunt out of the state of Illinois and uses a shotgun for most of his hunting, this has been his one and only rifle for all the time I have known him and he has never felt compelled to buy another of any caliber or make.
He bought the rifle brand new and I don't believe he paid more than $250.00 at the time, which was about 1979 or 1980.

That is a very good price for a 9422. I had one years ago and let it go. I'm sorry I did that now. Mine was a little ammo picky. As I remember it, it didn't like Remington ammo. There was a noticeable difference in the groups.
Buy it. They were nice handling guns, and the older ones were made with alot of attention to quality control.
