ArmaLite update: Pistols in country, pics of the 45

Gang,
The ArmaLite pistols are in country. I would expect them to start going out fairly soon. There are only 500 here so it may not take long for them to sell out. Pricing should be around the same as a CZ-75. There will be a mix of models: full-size and compact basic model; full-size and compact "Special" model (checkering and adjustable sights). I should have one of the full-size Special models fairly quickly and will post a review.
Also I thought you might enjoy these pics I found of the Sarsilmaz 45 caliber prototype:

Not bad looking. I know Mark Westrom plans some changes for the ArmaLite 45 so this should not be seen as the final draft by any means.
I will keep you all posted on the pistols as more information becomes available.
John

Does it really say "KILING 45" on the side of the frame? Spelling challenged anti-gun types are going to absolutely love that . . . :)
That aside, looks very nice.

Excellent! Scream 10MMM at him a hundred times. The barrels should be no problem as Tanfoglio already makes them.
I love the CZ75 and most of the clones have worked well for me.
In a 9mm/.40 or even a target 45, the real deal CZUB product gets my vote.
Something smaller than a 97B for carry or a different caliber option from a Tan
type gun. That gets my thumbs up!
I baby my See-Zeds and keep the Witness 10 as my hard use gun.
Another TEN on the market would be nice.

Now that is one stunning .45 ACP pistol. It might even be enough to get me to convert from my 9m/m collection.
KILING, if I remember correctly is Turkish for sword (or scimitar), my Turkish is a tad rusty (sorry, couldn't help myself). Please correct me if I am too far off base. I am sure that any product brought into the good old US of A will have the slide markings appropriately revised.
Now, when are they available???

IIRC I read on the Sarsilmaz site that it's Kilinc, Turkish for sword.

That would indeed make a great looking 10mm!

I have been saying 10mm from day one, but who knows. That caliber is a hard sell. It may come down to whether the guns do well, then if the 40 is on that platform (as I have strongly suggested). Time will tell. At least you 10mm fans know that you have me talking to ArmaLite, and I love the round as much as anyone. I will do what I can.

I guess a .357 Sig would be way too much to ask for!? http://www.soccerpages.com/forum/images/smilies/sad.gif

Another vote for the 10MM. These CZ/Tanfoglio type pistols are just about the most comfortable grips I've held. Mike

Very Sharp.
MSRP?
Oops, sorry...
Pricing should be around the same as a CZ-75.
