Ballistic Software

I am interested in acquiring software to generate ballistic information and track handloads. What software do you use and why did you select it? Would you select the same program if you were to start all over again.

Cannon7mm,
PointBlank is a very good windows program and will do what you want - it is a free download at:
www.HuntingNut.com
The author produced it as FREEWARE so you never have to register or pay for the right to use it.
I even use it sometimes - when I want a quick check of info and don't want to load up my own software. I usually use mine because it has features that suit me (i wrote it) that are missing from point blank.

I'll use Point Blank and JBM's Ballistics Page (http://www.eskimo.com/~jbm/index.html) to work up basic data, but I'll confirm it by tossing rounds downrange. PB seems to be pretty much dead on so far.

Cannon7mm,
You may find what you’re looking for at Mr. Ricciardelli's site, at no cost, or perhaps, find one of the "demo" programs to your liking and then purchase it.
Use the link below, then scroll down to "OTHER INTERESTING AREAS" then click on "Download Software".

If you want to calculate "internal ballisticss", play "what if", and with minor tweeking get good straight wall case calculations, and reduced loads for cast bullet shooting, QuickLoad seems to be the program to get.
For long range rifle, 1000 yards+, Pejsa Ballistics is the one to get. - Lew
