Is it true that certain weapon lights cause shooting or gun malfunctions?

This is pertaining to weapon lights that attach on handgun rails.

edited to add: If the light was designed and marketed for use on rails, then I don't think they'll cause a malfunction. On the other hand, duct-taped maglights most certainly will. Depends on which "certain" lights you're referring to!
