I'm going whitetail hunting in a few weeks with my Savage .308. I'm using 165gr Sierra game kings with black hills match brass and standard cci primers. The powder charge varies, but my group size averages a little above 1".

I'll be shooting at distances of up to 300 yards. What kind of group sizes should I expect from these bullets? At 100 yards, 200, and 300.

if anyone has any experience please help.

Thanks very much.

If you are going to shoot game at 300 yards, you really should be able to practice or at least shoot a group at that range. If you have a minute of angle gun, you will see groups of 1" at 100, 2" at 200, etc. But, the only way to determine that is to shoot at that range.
