Why doesnt Taurus make a .22 target gun? They have copied many others including the 1911 now, so why not a target gun? It seems like the closest thing they have is the .22 Tracker.

Good question, they do have a rather long .22LR revolver which I would assume is pretty accurate... if they made something similar to a Ruger 22/45 there might be a market for it.

They used to make the 69A but I don't see it anymore. I had one and it was very accurate. I traded it for a 422 S&W and have more fun.

Let's face it folks. The market is already flooded with .22 autos. Another would have to have something extraordinary about it to be worth the trouble to try and take on the glut that is out on the market now. Taurus has the capability to do it. With the plethora of guns output now, it may be just too much at this time to accomplish. Model 96 was a nice target revolver. Very few takers over the years. Maybe they'll take a look at this and try again.

Yeah, another .22 auto....yawn. I have a couple of autos, nothing target quality, but the main .22 that gets taken to the range is a lowly Rossi .22 kit gun, M511. For one, it's good for DA practice, but I just prefer a revolver in .22 anyway. If I had the money, though, wouldn't mind owning a S&W M41.

MCgunner, Right there with you. Most of my 22s are not target grade. My Ruger was modified but that is as target as I can get. Have a Taurus 94 5 inch barrel with a somewhat hard trigger pull, but that is being worked on as a home project. Model 94 is the understudy gun for the revolvers. Even have an old H&R 649. For a "cheap" gun it is as accurate as the other 22 revolvers I have or had. Can hit at 25 to 40 yards and hit a soda can square each time.
