The phrase "going to the range" and you think golf.

"Packing" makes you think of lunch.

You refer to a "Glock" as a "Police Revolver".

Have any more?:D

When someone says: (1) "Mozambique" and you think of the country first; (2) "headshot" and you think of photography; and (3) "hammer" and you think of the tool. Also, if someone asks you how to bed something, and you start relating pick up lines rather than explain about how to prepare the stock.

Also, there's a gun battle in a movie with a woman in it and you look at her first, and not the guns.

If you've never been told to shut up during a movie because you were nitpicking the inaccuracies concerning weapons/tactics/effects.

You think that "rock and roll" is only some kind of brash music.

You think that a "SIG" is a cigarette.

You don't feel your blood pressure spike when the news runs a story about the dangers of "assault weapons".

You refer to the NRA as "the gun lobby".

You refer to Handgun Control, Inc as "a gun safety advocacy group". ( )

You think that the "centimeter" is only referencing something found on a ruler. (Which it is...sort of... :scrutiny: )

You think that "ACP" has something to do with the "Advancement of Colored People" (perhaps this should also be, "you know your a Democrat if"...)

You don't cringe when actors throw their Benellis, Desert Eagles, MP5s, SPASs, SIGs, Glocks, etc... on the ground when they run out of ammo. (Remember the Matrix... :uhoh: )

....you think every gangbanger has a desert eagle and is anxiously awaiting buying a new s&w 500 magnum on the streets for a piddly price of $500.

Weaver is the chick from Aliens
Beretta is a TV show.
A magazine is something you read when you're sitting on the can.
A clip is something your sister puts in her hair and a box-ish device with a spring that contains ammunition and feeds a firearm.

1) When you have no idea what any of the following mean: FMJ, JHP, LRN, SWC, WC, LHP, XTP, BTHP, or HSHOK.

2) Jam to you means some form of cooked, smashed fruit that comes in a jar.

3) The only thing you know of that comes in grains is sugar and sand.

4) When you hear the words "Long Range" you think of two or three years.

5) You never wonder why the actors in action movies never run out of bullets nor do you ever catch yourself counting their number of shots before changing clips.

An mp5 is a machine gun

handguns go off at children.. untouched... maliciously

The second amendment only applies to flintlock muskets, although the first amendment applies to the internet and TV

You believe that a person (at least in CA) is responsible (read old) enough at 18 to vote, join the army, move away from home, be an adult in the eyes of the law, and buy a rifle. Yet they aren't responsible enough for a handgun (or alcohol for that matter) for 3 years after that.

Sorry if that seems a little rantish. Age-ism is a peeve of mine.

The police call them SWAT teams because the are supposed to 'SWAT' out the bad guys like the pests that they are!

Beretta: Isn't that the name of that TV series and that car made by Chevy?
And a gun company? Well, gee whiz, that gun maker ought to be paying GM and the media company for infringing on other peoples trademarks. Like they had to use some popular name like that after it was already taken like, at least 30 years ago. That 'Beretta' gun company is just without scruples!

An M16's recoil is unmanageable because....well hey, Stephen King said so in one of his novels, and who can argue with someone with book sales like his?

Full Metal Jacket is the name of one of those headbanger's bands
A .50 cal bullet passing by you will knock you over
Guns carry immense caches of ammo, maybe as many as a hellacious 30 rounds, and you can shoot them for ever, without reloading!
Only a criminal or apsycho would need an "Assault Rifle"
Your have a prayers chance in hell of running away from the cops while carrying said rifle
