I guess that is some sort of promotional setup from the Scarface movie. Did it actually come with a real gun though?
What kind is it?

I'm no expert, but it looks like a Beretta to me. No idea what kind though.

It appears to be a cross between a Beretta Centurion and a Sig. My guess is it is a plastic replica gun.
The hammer and forward part of the frame is wrong for a Beretta. The rest is definitely Beretta influenced.

Kinda looks like a Beretta 92 married a Beretta Cougar and had a "child."

the chunky trigger guard seems also like the metal smiths.
looks like a beretta upper and a smith and wesson lower were my guess.
Might take a look at some of the older/less common taurus 92 style variants.
but all things being equal I would just say "bad graphic designer creation"

Closest I can find is S&W m4505, but I don't think that's quite it...

BDA's got a closed top slide.
I vote for some kind of blank-firing gun.

Is the ammo in the pic supposed to go in that gun? It is huge, and looks rimmed! If that is a real gun (don't think so), for sure that ammo doesn't fit it! Most likely a fake made up by people who don't know (and don't care) about reality.
it may be an illusion, but the top round seems to have a smaller case diameter than the other two. All are too long to work in the gun. The grips have a blank logo area, so I'm thinking the gun is a non-firing prop.
"Hey Joey, get a still from Scarface and a pictgure of a gun and some bullets and make a poster out of them. Bet it'll sell..."
yup!
