I've had very good luck with the Sims Vibration Labs LimbSaver pads. The Hi-Viz pads look really cushy, too, but I haven't tried those. The LimbSavers are not overly soft but distribute the recoil impulse extremely well. I can shoot turkey loads or slugs through my 12-ga with it all day long. Hope this helps -- good luck!

Limbsaver.
I put one on my Benelli 12 gauge, and it helped out a ton. It made shooting 3-inch mags a whole lot more comfortable out of that light (recoil operated) gun.

Get a Pabst recoil pad. You wear it, not the rifle. Midway has them. Can be worn under the shirt so you shooting partners won't think you're a wuss. You can shoot anything all day long with it.

Kick-Eez, HiViz Xcoil, and the Limbsaver are the only pads I use anymore. I have tried many others and these three do the best job in reducing felt recoil for me.
