another posters question about an arisaka brought me under the impresssion that the japanese had atleast 2 differant modles of bayonet for the 2 differant model arisakas (38 and 99)

is this correct. each has its own style of bayonet? non interchangeable?

the reason i ask is i have a jap. bayonet, and i always wanted to get around to getting the rifle for it, but now id like to know which model is the correct for the bayonet

this is the bayonet, described by gunsandbayonets.00me.com as

Type 30
Same model as the one shown above but with no quillon and early model metal scabbard and leather bayonet frog
(1,7,8,9,11)
