I am thinking about buying a surefire forend for my 870.
Any reccommendations on places with good prices to order from?
For those that use the surefire forend, which one do you have?
618FA
618FGA which adds the extra system disable switch
918FA which uses the higher ouput light.
I am thinking for my use, a basic HD shotgun, the less expensive 618FA should be enough.

I have been happy with the prices and service from Calvin at brightflashlights@usa.com .
I have the 618FA myself-very pleased with it.

I've got the FA as well. Shopped around and couldn't do much better than about $215. I do squeeze the pressure pad when I run the action, so I can see how a system disable switch might be valuable for daytime shooting or light dicipline. However, the FA comes with that little adhesive metal strip to block part of the pressure pad - and that works just fine for me.
I considered the 9v system a little bright for indoor use. I see the unit as a target identification tool, and not much else.
That's a nice looking gun Greg. Wherever did you find an 18" barrel threaded for tubes?

I had Michael Orlen, gunsmith and moderator of the Shotgun World's Gunsmithing forum install RemChokes in the barrel. michael.orlen@verizon.net
His work is very reasonable-I had him lengthen the forcing cone also. He can thread the barrel for about any style choke available. Cost of the work was $35 for threading the barrel for chokes (choke tubes are additional) and $35 to lengthen the forcing cone and polish forcing cone and chamber. You have to mention that you are a Shotgun World Forum member to get these prices.

I use the SF618FA on my HD 870. It's performance is one of the many reasons I am now a Surefire authorized dealer.
If you're interested, I can get you one for $215, drop-shipped from Surefire, direct to your door. My website isn't up and running yet, so you can't pay with a credit card. I can, however, accept a USPS Money Order or Paypal to my private account.
