Good rifle, cartridge and price.
Get some ammo and get out to the range.
Stay safe!

thanks all...

i want to scope this thing and bought some Redfield 1" rings to go with a Redfield Golden 5 Star Scope 3-9x 40mm (Truplex Reticle Matte), is there anything else i would need?

Ammunition; Patience; and Practice.
Do you have someone to go to the range with?
Maybe another rifle to shoot while the barrel cools down a bit?
Patience is the hardest of the Three to come by!
Take your time and have FUN.:)

most of my friends aren't anti-gun, but their wives/g-friends are...so they don't get to come out and play all that often.

i do have a mini 14 stainless, synthetic ranch waiting for me as well.;) looks like the howa will have some company while it cools (or w/the mini...the other way around).

so, anything else i need to scope the howa? it's, of course, tapped and drilled already.

Um, scope mount bases to mount the rings on?

Yep... you'll need the bases as well. If the mount maker doesn't specifically list the Howa, it's the same as the Weatherby Vanguard and the same as the Remington 700... at least mine is.

thanks for the 411, found a base that works for interarms howa.
