I was wondering if anyone could give me any info about the manufacture date on a Winchester Model 12 16 gauge that I've inherited. The serial # is: 853177

I would also like to know if anyone could help me find an ejector with spring assembly for it? I recently got one from E-Gunparts, however upon installing the assembly and reinstalling the breech bolt and other parts, the assembly unseats itself when I rack the shotgun slide. It appears that the reason this is happening is because the new assembly has a narrower spring than the original, thus keeping from holding itself in the receiver.

Brandon, my information shows your Winchester Model 12 was made in 1940. You might try contacting the people at Wisner's. Their online catalog, http://www.wisnersinc.com/shotguns/winchester/pump.html, seems to list the part you need. Hope this helps!
