870 Express Question

I have a 870 Express and there was a little forearm twisting where when I would cycle the shotgun the forearm would rub along the barrel. I adjusted some of the twist out the next time I disassembled the gun but there is still rubs from time to time.
Is this common or is it just the way I am holding it while load and then cycle it?
Should I hold the gun buy the grip with my left hand instead of buy the forearm with I load?
Thanks

Thats odd, my marine magnums don't rub the barrel. I suggest you have it looked at because maybe the metal guide arms got warped. With the Spec Ops stock I hold the right hand grip and load with the left hand. Wherever there is metal to metal contact (mag tube, inside receiver etc) I dab some castrol synthetic grease or oil; and after a couple of thousand rounds all I got was a smoother pump because the parts polished themselves.

The guide bars are not warped, it’s how the forearm stock was mounted to the guide bar tube. I adjusted most of out buy simply loosening it up with a spanner wrench adjusting it and them tightened it up again. The guide bars have a little play so the forearm does twist somewhat. I have never had problem cycling it except fore some rubbing.

Mine did that too. I took it apart and reassembled it so it was more centered, and sanded off the sharp edge on the inside upper edge of the forearm for good measure. Now at least it doesn't rub a line on the barrel finish like it did when it was new.
