Whe doesn't THR create an online magazine area that THR members can contribute researched, unbiased gun related articles? With all the expertise located here, their is probably no gun related subject that could not be written about. Just imagine what the subject archive would be like after a couple of years:what:

I'm serious about an on-line article archive. I bet their are dozens of posters that would like to share their gun experience other than a question & answer forum.

I had a previous post asking for a forum for book, video and training course reviews. Perhaps combining these ideas would give us a forum that would funnel such information into a single area. My reasoning for these reviews was that most of us must buy sight unseen since local stores may not carry such material. I think that this would be a good venue for those wishing to both make a contribution and to polish their writing skills. For me, that would be a futile effort.

I would like to see a Book/ Video Review Forum. I think this could be very helpful.

In a sense we provide this already. As Mr Goodwin pointed outwe are in essence the medium for idea exchange.

Many of our members whom came from TFL and new ones here at THR have provided much and continue to contribute. At some time I believe links to information will be available at the top of page--until then the search function works well.

Mr. Stephen Camp has provided excellent handgun reviews,Jim March's classic intructions on how to choose/inspect a revolver. Book Reviews see Tamara, pax, ID a firearm well Mike Irwin, Tamara, just a start. Actually maybe we're not a 'magazine' per se, encyclopedia perhaps. Drizzit keeps us up to date in the news.
Countless others whom share real world experiences from training, being in harms way-past or present.

And hey were 24/7/365...no waitin' by the mailbox for the latest.

My idea is if you have "expert" knowledge on a firearm don't wait to be asked to submit it or expect someone else to edit it for you. I've mis-spelled more than my share of words and still got the meaning across. If the monitor thinks your article is accurate and the readers consider it worthwhile it stays and will be part of the archives. Want to know the history of the 1911 .45 and who made them, or the German Mauser K98k? Ideally, with the knowledge base here at THR it would be long before we had a 'Post" for just about every common and uncommon firearm out there. I'd be willing to write a 500 word article about a gun or two but I'm sure their are much better informed people than I.

Go ahead and start your own online magazine along those lines.
