Dan Wesson Model 22 Silhouette

I recently purchased a Dan Wesson model 22 silhouette revolver. I was surprised to find it was single action only, no double action. Has anyone had experience with this model? Is the gun single action only or broken? The frame said "Wesson Firearms, Palmer, Mass.". Not Dan Wesson.

The company went thru ownership changes. That's why you see different names on the guns.
