I have a pre-dash S&W model 586 that I will be sending to S&W to have some repairs and modifications done.

I am also considering having the gun run through their Performance Center to get both the "Master Revolver Action Job" and the "Performance Enhancement Package-Revolver". For those of you who have had these done, are they worth the money? Is there a noticeable difference in the fit/finish and performance of the revolver after having these modifications?

Thanks,
Jake Hayes

I was able to match the PC action job of my F Comp by:

a) Accelerating the wear of rubbing surfaces by dry firing or stoning. No angles needed to be changed.
b) Replacing mainsprings and rebound slide springs (with no loss of reliability).

S&W's lockwork is very easy to work on.

YMMV.
