I Seem to Have Contracted A Disease.......

You see I realize that the new Smiths don't have as nice of triggers as the old Smiths and I realize they did some very bad political things but politics aside....
I really like their .357 PC Revos. I love the way the 66 F feels in the hand and love the way it looks.
And it would fit in so nicely with my M60 LS and Nframe 627.
How to justify this?
Sorry I realize this post has no real point other than to whine about wanting a new gun but I am board and very enamored with this gun.
I really like the PC offerings in the Smith Revolvers.
Geeez, my name is Chris and I have a problem.
:(

Thats it... get it out. Now now, don't you feel better?
I applaud you for admitting that you have a problem. Many of us never can "own up" to our addiction and then we wonder how in the heck did the gun safe wind up so full.
All joking aside, you know full well how to get over this feeling don't you?
< group replies> Hi Chris.
Admitting one is powerless is the first step...Ok first off get a sponsor...we'll pick one...meet Tamara...she has some experience, she'll hold your hand and guide you through the steps...<smirk, chuckle, grin>...

Lord, not Tamara. She has been the reason for at least one of my major gun purchases and has caused me to brew over many more. Speaking of that, she has this beautiful .30-40 Krag........
Does one go through the shakes if they go cold turkey?

You've got to stand firm like an oak on your convictions. Don't sway in the breeze like a willow. Once you've got your platform of gun buying down, don't change a plank of it just because some new play toy catches your eye. Walnut the best way to increase your collection, at least you won't make an ash out of yourself in the eyes of those us who still think S&W sold us down the river. Wooden you rather buy a gun when you don't have to try to rationalize the purchase?
(I sincerely apologize, but I just couldn't resist. :D )

Man that was good. I would not have been able to resist either.
I will leaf :D the original post as is so others will get the gist of the joke.
Chris.
cslinger-
Sounds like your still in denial . In extreme cases we (the group)have been known to do an intervention. This means we assign two sponsors...thumbing through the list... Ok the next person on our list is Runt...so unless you work the steps as outlined,by Tamara, we will assign Runt to your special needs also..

Just because the 66F is a GREAT looking gun is no reason to buy one.
Just because S&W is owned by new (American) people is no reason to buy one.
Just because every one that has handled mine has remarked on how good the trigger is, is no reason to buy one.
Just because it shoots so dang well is no reason to buy one.
I can't think of a single reason why you should buy one.
Unless that you want one is a good enough reason?

I had the same problem but I solved it a couple of weeks ago by standing firmly at the counter in my gun shop, handing the man some money and walking out the door with an F-Comp. This strategy works every time! Dennis
