What will be the next up and coming value in pistols? The CZ75 has been king of bargains for quite awhile, and the Springfield XD was a rockin' bargain back when they were made by some unknown company in Africa and cost less than three bills.

So what do you think will be the next rockin' value that no one knows about?

Please note that I'm talking about modern pistols, not C&R stuff.

To answer your question: dunno. I guess SA learned the HK lesson... stamp "tactical" on the slide of your plastic gun and add $200 to the price to make people want it. :neener:

Im gonna have to say that the Steyr M series pistols is a rockin value...new ones from CDNN are 299....

I picked mine up for 320 dollars at a local gun store, and I think it is one of the nicest shooting pistols for any amount of money.

However, their strange design and weird sights push people away, but those are the exact things that make it such a joy to shoot.

The days of economical CZs are about over. Not to say that
2003 prices are steep compared to other brands. The older
(1996)75B Military models are drying up, the 75BD Police guns
as well.

A person will soon have to buy the 75B commercial model.

Concerning new guns. Look for the 1,000 75B TACTICAL
models to sell quickly.

The long awaited .40 Compact will arrive in Sept/Oct.

I'd have to agree with Arinvolvo, I think the Steyr will be the next bargin discovery. When that happens maybe we'll see something to mount on the accessory rail.

Here's one that I'd like to see make it.

MP-446 "VIKING" Self-Loading Pistol by Baikal

Sooner or later Baikal is going to figure out selling direct to the US market, like CZ is doing , instead of going through EAA is the way to go.

Baikal seems to have all the same ingrediants CZ has(d).

CZF,

What is the CZ-75 Tactical? Do you have a picture of it? Feature list?

Thanks,
Steve

Hal, Baikal does have all the ingredients CZ had, but they have a bit of poison thrown in the mix in the form of a trade agreement Clinton came up with to keep Russian guns out of our hands.

Don't expect to see any combat or defensive handguns imported from Russia any time soon. Russia is banned from exporting any handguns that are not strictly competitive to the United States by a Clinton (IIRC) executive order. This is part of the reason why Russian Makarovs cost more than their Bulgarian/German/Chinese/etc. counterparts.
