I want a hi power for some reason.
Don't you hate people that ask questions like this?

By all reports they're fine.
Why buy a Daly when you can get BHPs for under $600?

Excellent reason.
They look to be fine. I've read nothing but good things about them. I've only handled one, but shot none, and I couldn't tell the difference between it and one of my BHPs (and I loves my BHPs).

I considered getting one.....but after realizing that I would not be happy with the sights[I can't get the hits that I like with the course express sites], and that I would not be happy with the hammer[big ring hammer+ hammer bite for me], I spent $500 on a FN HP instead. I consider this a better by, not just for the quality difference, but it saved me on replacing the hammer and the sites.

Just FYI cdnninvestments.com still has some FN's for $399, but only in .40.

SARCO, a distributor in NJ, has Argentine High-Powers for 300 bucks, they also have a slightly shortened "detective" model for the same price.

Get a used BHP. They can be found around $400 - $450. Its worth a few extra bucks.

CD is basically a renamed FEG. You can get a FEG even cheaper and it comes up from time to time. I got mine like new under $200 all fees included.
