What's the difference between F-comp, K-comp, and V-comp? Does anyone have pictures that shows the ports and is there any accuracy difference between them?

Original K Comp was a Performance Center product (#170025) that was built on a model 19 K target frame in 1994. Name was again loosely used in another gun dubbed "Super K", a model 66 Performance Center exclusive for Lew Horton in 1997.

One year prior to the K Comp, the Performance Center came out with a model 66 (#170024), the F Comp model. Again a Lew Horton exclusive with limited production, numbers around 300 units. Product was re-released in 2003 minus the original front tritium night sight and the addition of walnut grips instead of rubber. Same product code.

The V Comps are an N frame series product that started with a 625 45acp and 629 44 Magnum models (#170136 and 170137) from the Performance Center. Distinct features were their 4 inch slab-side barrels and removable compensators. Later models followed with the same barrel profile and V Comp in a 5 inch 44 Magnum, three inch 44 Magnum, three inch .357 Magnum and the most well known, 627 V-Comp Jerry Miculek Special.

And the V comp can still be found at S&W's web site.
