People of Illinois need to call and thank their State senators for opposing Daley and his draconian gun control scheme. More info on www.isra.org. The vote was 36-23, it is my understanding that Chicago suburbs are opposed to Daleys plan and that has helped out, I have heard also that they have been threatened by the Daley administration, dont know how true that is but it would not be surprising. My personal thought is that everyone in the state sees Daley and Chicago politicians as arrogant, a recent poll said 90%of Chicagoans see Daley and his administration this way. I also think that south of I 80 he and Blago have very little support. I think that the at least on of the state houses will go back to Republican control in the next election. I have heard nothing about SB1195 assault weapon ban except that it could be voted on until Dec.31, anyone here anything? We did good buut still need to keep up the pressure.
