Stallion and Navy Arms Scout. The Scout, FYI, is a Uberti Stallion with German Silver backstrap and trigger guard, as well as different grips, than the Stallion. The Scout is only available in .38 special, slightly smaller frame than "full size" SAA type revolvers. So, I am looking to buy one and a gun dealer in PA told me that he is under the impression these guns are no longer being made. So, does anyone have GOOD information on the status of the Stallion and the Scout? (For what it is worth I think I am buying one today from a dealer that has a NIB Scout listed on Guns America) I have emailed the Navy Arms Company and asked but that was just last night and no answer yet. Thank you in advance for your answers.

but am trying to learn all the different old west style revolvers that are on the market. And, I am getting the impression they are all made in Italy except Ruger and Colt.

Anyway, I did buy the Scout today and should have it in hand next week. The 2007 Gun Digest lists it at $511 and the Navy Arms web site lists it at $497. I got it for $419 NIB plus postage and the inevitable FFL fee at my end.

Also, I got an email back from Navy Arms that they have no information that the Scout is not to be manufactured anymore. However, when I then had to send a reply asking if that meant they had Scouts available they replied back that they have no Scouts available and none of their retail dealers have any in stock. That message also said they might have some around February of 2007.

I have not contacted Uberti about the Stallion.

I am inferring from the previous entry that the Cimarron Lightning is also a smaller framed revolver available in 38 Special????:confused:

I believe the Cimarron revolvers might be in .32 H&R Magnum, with an optional .32-20 cylinder. They had these with both the standard S.A. grip, and the rounded "Lightning" style. Uberti has made these as a .38 Special (5 shots) and .32 Magnum (6 shots). They also had a frame with a Ruger Blackhawk style topstrap and adjustable sights. How much of this is still in production I'm not sure.

Taurus is making full-sized single actions in Brazil.

There are 2 more made in the U.S. Freedom Arms makes a very high quality SA, at a corrosponding price. STI in Texas is starting production of a SA called the Texican, again very high quality priced in line with a Colt. This is a very good time if you like SA's. :D
