My father has a High Standard Sharpshooter 103. He would like a longer barrel than the one on it (5.5"). I can't find longer Sharpshooter barrels but some of the other models look like the same push button type of barrel seat. Are some of the other models like the Citation and the Sport King compatable barrel-wise with the Sharpshooter? I thank you for any information you guys can provide.

Yes, all the pushbutton High Standard barrels are interchangeable. Numrich still has some, for example:

You might also want to try Connecticut precision http://www.ct-precision.com and Volquartsen http://www.volquartsen.com

I don't have a barrel from Connecticut Precision, but the one Volquartsen made for me is a champion. It may be worth your while to avoid barrels from Texas High Standard company: lots of dissatisfied customers.

Jim Spacek's site http://www.tm-techmark.com/jspacek.htm is the tops for information.

This is interesting. I own a High Standard autoloader that has a plastic frame. It came with two barrels. I believe one is 6" and one is 4". The barrel has the thumbnut in front of the trigger guard and the gun comes apart in basically two pieces. I can't remember the name of it. I found it when I was cleaning out my uncle's house after his death. I keep it at my parent's house to shoot when I am there. My parent's are in their mid-eighties and live in a rural area outside of a small town. There isn't a whole to to do there for entertainment, so I leave a few guns there and shoot the crap out of them when I am there. This High Standard shoots high and it would be interesting to have another barrel with adjustable sights. Brownells actually listed an aftermarket replacement frame for this gun until recently. I ordered one just in case, but of course by that time they were out of them and had discontinued the product.

I guess if I could remember the model number, it would make it a lot easier to see if anything is available for it.

The Duramatic.
It was their very least expensive gun, very little in common with the Supermatics. Adjustable sights will likely be a custom proposition.
The Colt .22 of a few years back is very similar, but probably not interchangeable.

That's it.
It isn't very impressive to me. But, it was free and I enjoy shooting it when I am there. I also have a pinned and recessed S&W Model 17 6" there. I usually buy a couple boxes of Wal Mart bulk ammo and alternate the two guns day to day. I am just shooting bullseyes, so the fact that it shoots high is no real big deal, but it would be nice if it didn't.
I just wonder if the barrel is different than the other ones. It looks like it mounts to the frame in a similar manner.
