i've decided to spice up my shooting life by shooting osama instead of just shooting groups and was wonderin if anyone has a black n white head of him that would fit on a regular page that i could print out

I made some Ossama and armadillo targets for my father in law for father's day last year with PhotoShop.... now Michael Moore targets - I've GOTTA have some of those!! Think I might make some up right now :evil:

Aw jeez people, I didn't mean to offend anyone's sensibilities... For the record, I do not support executing Mr. Moore, nor would I shoot ANYONE other than in the most extreme of self-defense situations. Sad that I actually have to say that, and sorry if my method of practicing head-shots offends you. When I made the armadillo targets, I was also not advocating the shooting of innocent animals, and have drafted a letter of apology to PETA. :rolleyes:

Nobody sees anything wrong with this? If all you're doing is practicing headshots and engaging in a little fantasy,why not stick up a picture of Bill & Hillary? Or Dubya for that matter. Shouldn't make any difference, right?

I have to agree with Mark. While we should be free to punch holes in whatever images we want, it's not good for our image as a community. It feeds the bad stereotypes that we keep running into, especially when its somebody who is popular here.

Just to be politically correct: Instead of a target with Moore's head on it, just use one of those pig/hog targets...it's about the same thing.

There's just nothing inappropriate about the target. It doesn't allude to anything sinister going on at THR. Anyone who would try to construe otherwise is being as offbase as you all are for being so guarded. It's silly that we should be afraid of committing thought crimes here. Especially when the pressure comes from the inside, and not from the PC left.

Now, there are things that are inappropriate. The "High Road" portrays a place where people do not just call each other names. They use thoughtful reason to discuss. I will continue to believe that's the true meaning of "The High Road" until someone wants lectures me otherwise. When that happens, I won't call you names, I won't swear at you, but I will tell you you are wrong and why.

So lighten up. Express yourself freely. If you think it's crude to post targets of your favorite hated person, go ahead and say something. Just don't think I won't call you on it. That's what freedom of speech is all about. The Dixie Chicks learned that the hard way.

You can take it so far before you wind up with legal problems.
For instance, the range I go to prohibits posting of "face" type targets.
While I have seen many osama and other terrorists targets posted, and nobody did anything at all (Other than shoot the targets.)
However, the cheese gets a bit more binding when the target posted is an ex-wife, etc.
Then you have legal issues.
Like, what happens when your ex-wife is shot, and you didn't do it?
When you have several witnesses that saw you shoot ex-wife "targets" at the range.
That could be a problem.
I would shoot osama targets, and I think you should be able to.
But I would be careful of who you make a target of...

What kind of sick libby lawyer is able to twist a crime out of shooting an effigy? If you're able to get locked up for that, tell all the anti-"insert establishment here" that they're not allowed to destroy effigies of Pres. Bush or any other person they might be peeved at.
