Some pics comparing the Kahr P9 Covert to the KelTec P32. At some point, I will do a write up comparing my experiences with them.

This is the one that really shows the difference in size. Both are small, but the P32 is much thinner. Of course, it also highlights the difference in the quality of the sights if that's of any importance to you.

if plan on using those HP's in the P-32, take a look at the Flyer Wire (http://www.1bad69.com/keltec/flyerwire.htm) to avoid rimlock (http://www.1bad69.com/keltec/rimlock.htm)

Excellent pictures, Cratz2.

Well done!

Thanks for the heads up... I think I've seen that before... you might have even pointed me there. :p It sounds like a good idea and there's no reason not to, but I've put bunches of rounds of HPs through this and two other P32s I've owned and have never had an issue with rimlock.

I have a P-32 and I know how easy it is to carry (when it is working), how is the Kahr to carry? Is it even close to the P-32 in terms of ease of packing? I want one but not if it is going to be as hard to carry as a light weight .38 snub.

I don't see the reason for using hollowpoints in a caliber as anemic as .32ACP out of a two inch barrel. Does anyone really think they're going to expand?

Try shooting a raccoon carcass at 10 feet and get back with me. ;)

I'd rather take my chances in the gut with an FMJ than a Gold Dot. For sure!

I am thinking about both of these pistols. I like pocket carry and was wondering how well the PM9 fits into the front pocket of jeans. How does it compare to the P32 in jeans?

I've been hoping someone would post exactly that kind of picture... I've pocketed the P32 and have been thinking a lot about picking up an Kahr... good to get a sense of the size.

Nice pics, too!

ok since it was brought up... here are both sides of the HP vs FMJ in .32 acp:

and yes I do think Corbons will expand out of a P-32:

(but I carry FMJ anyway)

Keep in mind that this comparison show the Kahr P9 Covert and not the PM9. The PM9 and P9 covert share the same width and grip length but the PM9's barrel is smaller reducing the overall lenght of the gun.

Yeah, the PM9 is noticably smaller. Would definately go that route if I was set on pocket carrying a Kahr.

I don't even own a pair of jeans. :p But in casual Docker-type pants, the Kahr moves around MUCH more than the P32 and in definately heavier. The movement would be tamed down a bit with jeans made out of heavier demin but the weight is still an issue. The A loaded Kahr is about the same as two loaded P32s.

How about a comparison of the P9 to the P11? Both are 9mm.

That is the Covert? Wow! It looked like the PM9 to me at first glance. I picked up a PM9 at a recent gunshow and it seems like it is just perfect for carry.

Don't own a P11... nothing against them as I'm sure they're fine for a small budget 9mm, but it isn't very comfortable in my hand and much too thick, in my opinion, for it's intended purpose.

Yes, this is definately a P9 Covert... Full lenght (for a Kahr) slide and the PM9 frame. So basically you get the full velocity available from most of the (non-Tactical) Kahrs and it's a bit easier to conceal at the cost of being maybe 10% more difficult to hold on to during rapid fire.
