There are a lot of factors which make a BIG difference in price on a model 66. Very difficult to make an estimate without a lot more info. Might be worth $300, might be worth a whole lot more.

I'll take this as an opportunity to shamelessly plug in a picture of my 66 , that I think came out nice looking.

Local shop had a very nice used 2 1/2" about 3 weeks ago. Asking price was $389. It sold in less than a week.

There are a lot of factors which make a BIG difference in price on a model 66.Bingo. The shorter barrel, i think it was a two and a half inch, along with the round butt, pinned and recessed, can bring $350-400 in some areas. For an average everyday four incher with rubber grips, you are talking $300 where I'm from.

I saw a 2" 66 w/ round butt in about 7/10 condition here with a $350 sticker. Decent price for these parts, and it's 2nd M-66 I've come across in 2 years.

It was in the same case with a $900 Walther P5, which struck me as awfully high.....

I paid $275 for a nice 4" w/o factory grips. Not pinned or recessed either.

Here in WV 4" 66s and model 15s go high between $400 and $500 but L frames go for $350- $400 used. I got a nice 6" L frame for $375 in the spring and saw a MK III Trooper 4" for $350 at a show,
