Has anyone here ever tried to carry a Desert Eagle (open, of course)? How much do they weigh and is that possible at all?

I've carried my 6" .44 in both a shoulder holster and hip for hunting. I don't remember the exact weight loaded...about 5lbs maybe...they are heavy.
Have also carried the same gun with a 14" barrel (scoped) in a bandolier style holster accross the chest....guessing it's about 6lbs+. Definently something you'll want a holster or sling for long hunting treks.

I’ve carried a few heavy hunting handguns. The preferred method of carry for me is a bandolier rig. Heavy handguns on the hip tend to make your pants sag. I highly recommend a leather rig for those bigger guns.

Has anyone ever carried a .50 AE Desert Eagle in particular?
