A friend at work found some grips for a colt revolver. Any info would be helpful. He would like to sell them. Any idea on value?

I'td help if you knew if they were for the large New Service, ort the mid-frame Colt's like the Official Police.

I'd look on Ebay under Colt Grips, they're usually some for sale there.

Those look like black rubber to my eye and old into the bargain, so I'm sure they're of interest to collectors.

Sad to say, I've never seen a pair of Colt revolver grips or stocks that didn't have to be removed immediately and tossed into the spare parts box.

You took a good picture ....

The grips are for a Colt "New Army" or "New Navy" revolver. These were early double-action/swing-out-cylinder models chambered in .38 Colt and .41 Colt. At one time during the late 1880s they were adopted as the standard U.S. military sidearm.

The set you have are made from black hard rubber, and were standard on commercial guns of that period. Many surviving revolvers have chipped or cracked grips. A collector with such a gun would probably pay around $50.00 to $75.00 to find a good set of original replacements.
