Alot of people have asked about the accuracy of the Taurus 24/7. I am far from a shooting expert but this pistol shoots very well IMO

I posted this picture in another thread but I wanted more people to see what it was capable of. In case anyone else was curious.

Taurus 24/7 Pro .45acp 12 shots at 15 yards off hand with CCI Blazer Brass cheap stuff from Wal-Mart ;)

Nice shooting!

About how many rounds have you put through it so far?

Has it been feeding OK?
You haven't had any of the feed problems that have been reported on the 24/7 .45s?

I've been wanting one myself, but wanted to wait until I was sure that Taurus solved the feeding problems and that my chances of getting a good one NIB was a high probability.

The 24/7 fits my hand and points better than any .45 I've held. I'm in no hurry to get one though, I'll wait as long as it takes to be fairly sure of getting a good one.

I have put about 200 rounds of Winchester (100 value pack FMJ)
150 rounds of Winchester white box (50 round boxes FMJ)
50 rounds of Winchester white box JHP
100 rounds of Remington JHP
400 rounds of the cheap CCI Blazer Brass from wal-mart

NO failure to feed, fire, or eject with any of those.

I did however have 3 light strikes out of the 100 S&B I ran through it. It reverts back to a D/A pull if you get a failer to fire so I simply pulled the trigger again and they fired.

Thats not the first time I have had problems with that stuff though :banghead:

My Rugar P90 doesnt like the S&B ammo either.

S&B is noted for that..... see this (http://www.glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=268677)!

MPanova,

Glad to hear your haven't had any malfunctions. Maybe it's safe to take the leap and buy one!

I have had the hard primer problems with S&B in my Kel-Tec P-3AT also. They always fire the second time, but not always the first. I got 500 rounds at a very good price. It's OK for range ammo, but if you're shooting sequences it messes you up. I'd buy it again if it's cheap enough, but not otherwise.

and I love it. It feels great and shot real well until a couple days ago it jammed on me. I took it to a gunsmith but they couldnt get it out and I said Id have to ship it to Taurus:(

My significant other bought a 24-7 9mm against my recommendation and I have to admit, it is a great shooting pistol. Excellent ergonomics and a light DAO trigger. I was very pleasantly surprised. Haven't had any feeding problems either.

Yeah, my 24/7 in 9mm is great overall... but my trigger feels, i dunno...gritty. But I'll live.

and have 'bout 5000 rounds or so thru it. 500 factory and 4500 handloads. I've never had a problem with it in any way. However, my Daughter-in-law had serious problems with it ... mulitple jams on every magazine. I observed her "limpwristing" the pistol and advised her to lock her wrists and allow her hands, wrists and forearms to rotate up from the elbow as a locked unit. Voila! Problem solved.

I don't shoot nearly as well as MPanova but its my fault, not the fault of the pistol. Altogether a quite satisfactory gun. Even though I think it is a really ugly gun, mine's a keeper.
