After having run several thousand rounds thru these gun, I can safely say "My Ruger Mark II like CCI Blazer, the Single Six does well with Federals and the Buckmark likes anything"
Keep on loading and shooting

My T/C .22 Classic likes Federals above all else. It hates Remingtons and refuses to feed them reliably. I can't remember a misfeed in the last 3000 or so Federal rounds though.

High-Velocity Federals in the 550 round box are my choice. They can be had for a song at Wal-Mart. I use CCI Standard Velocity when shooting at reactive targets for safety reasons.

CCI Pistol Match, CCI Mini Mag solids and Winchester Dynapoints in that order.

Either CCI mini mags, or CCI stingers. If hunting with .22 I use stingers. Sighting in mini mags. One a side note if I just want to see how fast I can unload a mag I burn up the cheap bricks of Wally World Federals. These are the only rounds the cycle worth a :cuss: in my .22's.

Federal Champion. Buck a box and accurate.

Remington Target (blue tabbed-box)
Remington Thunderbolts
Both of these types of Remington .22LR work excellent in all of my .22s.

PMC Zappers followed by Federal Champion. My Neos eats everything too, except throws up after several boxes of Federal American Eagle. That stuff must be caked in soot.

My Hi-Standard Supermatic will not cycle Rem's. reliably. Fortunately the cheap Wally world Federals are just fine. Eley is my favorite for shooting groups (I was amazed at the difference).

My heritage arms rough rider likes anything. Haven't tried snakeshot though.

Federals work the best in my semi-auto handguns (function and accuracy). With the rifles, I can pretty much shoot anything. I even have pretty good luck with the budget Remington golden bullets.

I've tried several different brands in my Ruger Mk II. The brands that are most reliable (so far %100) are the CCI Mini Mag and the Federal 810's (Now sold as "Game Shok" in the 100 round plastic boxes like the Mini Mags).
M2 Carbine

I plink with Aguila Standard Velocity in any gun that will function with standatd velocity. My Makarov 22 conversion is one that won't.
It's the most accurate inexpensive ($13 a brick) 22 ammo I've found.
I also have a bunch of Remington, Federal and CCI.
Other than plinking I use CCI Stingers.

My Ruger 10/22 and 22/45 have not had problems with ammo except Remington Thunderbolts, that seems to jam with the lead. Remington Hi-Velocity, and Stingers, have done well in both.

Remington Thunderbolts. Hot enough to cycle my Mossberg plinkster even when it's dirty, and also cheap.

My Ruger MK II is insanely accurate with CCI Mini-Mag HP's, but does well with Remington's "Golden Bullet" and even Blazer. My 6" 617-10 is partial to the Mini-Mags as well but shoots everything I've fed it quite well.

Ditto, M2 Carbine. Aguila SV (when I can find it here in Soybean Land) is my pick for the best kept secret in rimfire ammo. "Match" ammo performance at a near-Wally-World price. Superior accuracy in virtually every .22 I own, and absolutely stellar in several. Function can be "iffy' in some semi-autos, but the accuracy is still there.

Federal bulk pack, and Rem. golden bullets. Stay away from Rem. Thunderbolts ( dirty and guaranteed to jam)

To tell you the truth, I have never actually sat down with my MkII and figured out what works the best. Outside of the subsonic rounds, it has functioned on everything I have put through it, and I can't say I have ever been particularly disappointed in the accuracy. Still, I would like to actually know, so maybe one day I will head off to the range with a smattering of different ammo and find out.

My .22s all digest different ammo. I have a couple dozen different makes of ammo that I use for ammo testing.
My Walther UIT likes Federal Ultra Match
The Contender w/20" Bullberry likes RWS R50
I'm not good enough with my handguns, I shoot what ever makes them function.
I will also separate my ammo into lots by the rim thickness and weight of each round. You could say I'm a little anal-retentive about it, but we shoot .22s for money at my club. :) and by fine tuning ammo choice I get sub MOA from my Contender and it has taken quite a bit of cash from unsuspecting guys with heavy target rifles, though most of the guys now know how well it shoots.

Usually CCI MiniMag HPs in everything. VERY accurate from my lever-action!
Had a large stash of Winchester "Wildcats" but it is about gone. They worked OK though - just not overly accurate.
Remington Thunderbolts have been poor as long as I can remember and I think I've only used two or three bricks of them and most of them were given to people shooting with me.

My rifles seem to eat everything pretty well and there isn't a whole lot of difference in accuracy.
Normally I shoot Federal bulk, but I do have CCI Velocitors for special applications.
My Browning Nomad OTOH only shoots CCI Subsonics......exceptionally well I might add, and does almost as well with CCI SGBs (my trapping load).

for my Ruger 10-22 "ultimate" i put together, both my Ruger 22/45 auto pistols and my Springfield M6 all use CCI mini-mag HP's
my Taurus 970 Tracker revolver use CCI Velocitors
the Ruger Single Six and the Marlin 39A Golden both use CCI Mini-mag LRN
my Marlin 795 uses Win Dynapoints, dont shoot it now till i can stock up on those rounds. Note to Winchester... Please hurry!
old Winchester 190 uses Rem Subsonic
my wife's Lakfield MK II bolt rifle and Taurus 94, 4"uses Winchester Wildcat.

Ruger Mark III: Several of the Eleys (Biathlon Match, Club Extra) when I'm feeling extravagant and want little teensy groups. Federal Premium Gold after that (great stuff for the price); CCI Pistol Match.

Don't have that many rounds through my .22 guns yet but so far CCI Blazers run the best through them all. Federal Spitfire Hollowpoints also seem to feed well in my Savage rifle but jam pretty frequently in my Ruger 22/45. Soon as I burn through the two bricks I have right now I'm going to try some of the other types as well.

For just plinking or for rabbits, I use Winchester Expert ammo. It's accurate in my Ruger 22/45 or my 22A. Steve 48

My 10/22 and 22/45 handles Remington Hi-Velocity ammo perfectly and is my favorite. I have had good luck with Stingers too. I have had some jams with the Remington Thunderbolt, and my indoor range has banned lead ammo, so no more for me.

I use Winchester Dynapoint, CCI Stingers and Blazers without problems in various .22 pistols and revolvers. Federal champion .22 seems to be ok, but I've only shot about 100 rds of it. I have terrible luck with Remington .22 anything especially Golden Bullet :barf:

Federal Hi-Power!!!
Used CCI Mini-Mags in the past, ONCE. Worst junk I ever put through my S&W mdl 41.
You can have 'em. I won't buy them ever again.
Ely Match is good stuff, too.
Federal 5500 rd box at Wally World is good shootin'!

Federal bulk pack never did me wrong nor did Remington bulk. Had a HORRIBLE experience with Winchester Wildcats in the 80's... haven't bought it since.
For hunting I like CCI Stingers or Remington Yellow Jackets.
The yellow jackets sometimes jammed my Mk2, but in a rifle they are great.

I've never seen a .22 that couldn't eat this stuff reliably, even AR-7s. At 50/$1 the price is right.
