What do you think of the Px4 Storm?

Hey all...I've been ogling the Beretta Px4 Storm and wondered what you guys' thoughts were about reliability, ease of use, dependability etc. etc. Some threads popped up using the search function but no real "reviews"...so what do you say?

What are your experiences with this firearm? Yea or Nay?

I own one in a .40. I bought it as a type F and converted it to type G. I really like the feel of it in my hand and it is accurate like a 1911. The recoil is less the usual to. I would guess it has half the recoil as my G23. I just use it as a range gun. It is a bit to big for my taste for carry. but if the SHTF it would be one of the first guns I would grab. Not much of a review but that's all I got.

Take care.

I got one in 9mm earlier this year as my first handgun, and so far it has been great. Ive put about 1200 rounds through it without any malfunctions, its lightweight, low recoil, and very easy to take down and reassemble for cleaning.

Definately gets a thumbs-up from me.

You can find a lot of info at berettaforum.net on the PX4.

Unlike the 9000, this one is worthy of the Beretta name. I use this as my "house" gun loaded up with DPX's. It feels great, shoots great, and hasn't malfunctioned in 500 rounds. What more can you ask for? There are other choices but you won't disspointed with the PX4 - unless you were mistaken in your intended need/purpose.

I don't know if he's posted them here, but Ken Lunde has some nice pics of his. IIRC, he's got 2 and seems to be pretty satisfied from his posts.

I know he posted the pics on www.sigforum.com.

I have a PX4 but I haven't had a chance to get out with it yet. Ergonomics are pretty good (really only surpassed by my recently acquired M&P semi-auto). Very well made gun. Uses a rotary style barrel lockup similar to the Cougar, but with a disassembly release button reminiscent of the Glock.

I agree that the M&P has the Px4 beat in terms of ergonomics, but the Px4's SA trigger wins over that of the M&P. Still, the ergonomics of the Px4 are not bad. On the contrary, they're outstanding. I own multiple examples of both, because both are outstanding combat pistols.

i only held one back last year when i was in Indy at pop's guns, and it felt great in my hand, and the sights lined up nicely, had the three dot sights which i love. i liked it, i don't think i will get one but they are pretty sweet. I am into the cx4 carbines myself!

I have one in 9x19. Its foot-to-posterior contact ratio is quite high.

I love the capacity, the simple decocker, the safety, and the fact that it's got an external hammer (so it can be thumbed). It fits well in the hand, points perfectly, and is more accurate than I am. And unlike some other guns I could mention it's also a snap to disassemble and clean.

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT handgun, very well-built and a great shooter. Not the best of it's kind though.
