Hello Everyone,

Does anyone have any experience with the 1911s from Nowlin?

If yes, how do they compare to the semi-custom (e.g., Les Baer) and fully custom 1911s available on the market?

I read some exceptional things about the Nowlin line in "The Gun Digest Book of the 1911" by Patrick Sweeney and was wanting to get some up to date opinions.

Thanks for the help.

I firmly believe they, along with Rock River if you don't mind the 18+ month wait) are the very best value in a custom 1911. All good parts, great fitting (not quite the vault type construction of the Baers) for a very reasonable.

Here's another guy from Indy that swears by the Nowlins. I think he's had about 3 or 4 of them now.
