Anybody have one yet? Man they look innovative!
Does anyone know if they accept standard m-16 magazines?

Just took a look at it on the kel-tec website. Looks like fun.
"The SU-16 has a conventional gas piston operation and utilizes the proven M-16 breech locking system. It is compatible with standard M-16 magazines."

Looks like it does take standard M-16 mags

The Kel Tek web site has a $640 MSRP. What would that come out to retail?

It won't be that much. The pistols all seem to sell at well under retail price. At last in my neck o' the woods.

Damn! 640.00 for a hunk of plastic and aluminum.
For that price you could build an AR.
I REALLY hope that price comes down.

444,What I meant was you could have a proven hunk of plastic. Or something like that. Anyway I dont particularly like AR's anyway. But if the price was reasonable I would get a 223 rifle. And If I had to get a 223 rifle I would get an AR. but if the SU-16 was cheaper I would get that...........................
OH, WHATEVER!!!!

For us in CA we are stuck with the Mini 14 as the only source of semi-auto .223
Hoping for a piece of plastic that is accurate and relaible with a better trigger than that min......oh wait that isnt on the CA approved list!!!!!

There is no "approved list" for rifles -- yet. They're still under the impression that, having banned almost every rifle developed in the past 50 years, they've covered all the bases.
