What did you shoot this weekend

This has to be the coolest gun that I've shot in awhile. It's a Tippmann Mini M2 and will shoot .22 Mag or .17 HMR by changing the barrel. The .17 HMR make it look like a belt of tracers are loaded up and ready to go.

Spanish FR-8 Mauser in a Curio and Relic 100 yard military bolt action rifle match on Saturday.

First formal match I've ever shot in, and wound up getting a 324 out of a possible 500. I think I came in last out of about 16 shooters. :D

But that's what you get for shooting a carbine with fixed diopter CTME assult rifle sights and a sight radius shorter than my forearm against guys with Scmidt Rubin K-31's Sweede Mausers, and O3-A3's. :p Had fun anyway though, so mission accomplished.

On Sunday, I ran about 1000 rounds through my Airsoft FN P90 in an indoor skirmish battle in an unused factory. (boss/owner lets one of his workers have people use the abandonded side for Airsoft) Very, very, very fun. Smoked lots of people from ambush in the shadows. More fun in 4 hours than I've ever had in about 3 all day paintball outings...

HK USP.45c - 200 Rounds
Kahr P9 - 75 Rounds
Crosman Pellet Pistol, 200 rounds (my 7 year old came along)

:D

My wife and I spent an hour or two at the range practicing with carry weapons, and my son came along too. My wife and I both fired each others and I have to say I'd almost forgotten how sweet that Kahr trigger is.

My son managed to pepper the daylights out of Bin Laden's face from 7 yards with a Crosman pellet pistol.

Btw, if you ever have a chance to take a class from that man, jump on it with both feet. It was well worth it. (72 years old and still learning, and still teaching classes. He's my new hero...)

About 3300 rounds of .22 LR, about 1500 rounds of combined 12 and 20 ga., 150 or so .50 cal. lead balls (muzzleloaders), 150 rounds of .22 mag. Oh, wait, that was what I was RESPONSIBLE for shooting - we had our Boy Scout Troop shooting campout this weekend (I'm the Scoutmaster, hence the responsible soul). I personally only shot a few .22's and .22 Mag, some .38's, a few 9mm's and .45's, a handfull of .223 from my Ranch rifle, and exactly 4 shots from my muzzleloader. The rest the boys and other adults shot up. Had a lot of fun, and only one injury - a scout got hit with clay pidgeon that broke on the thrower. Thank goodness for eye protection! Now they ALL understand the need.

Ice, paper, and steel.

Yes, ice. I filled a bunch of plastic picnic cups with water and put them in the freezer on Friday. On Sunday, I pulled the cylindrical cubes from the cups and brought them in my cooler out to the desert. Fun, reactive (they explode with a proper hit) targets that leave no trace (unlike the appliances, cans, bottles, etc., etc., that lie bullet-ridden in the desert as an embarassament to all shooters). And they are free, or nearly so.

As for guns, HK P7 M8, Glock 19, S&W Airweight .38. I forgot how much bite the Smith has. Not fun.

Shot at: cans, sticks, a dead tree.

Shot with: my Ruger MKII Target, my Kel-tec P11, my brother's Winchester Model 7 short-action in .223, and my other brother's Marlin Model 60.

Total Ammo Used (between the three of us): 50rds .223, 100 rds 9mm, 400 rds .22lr (mini-mags, for the most part)

We all shot well - I even was able to hit things with my P11, for the first time.

If it wasn't for the fact that it was 98 degrees and humid outside, it would have been a good outing.

My Korean .22 cal pellet gun. It is charged with 3000# of compressed air from a scuba tank. Shot it in the back yard. Mom was in town so I pretty much hung around the house.

Picked up my SIG P239 Friday morning, so had to go out to the range to give it a run through. Then after school my 10 year old son and I went back to the range. We both shot the SIG (his first time with a 9mm) and the Walther P22. Great fun!

Yesterday before baseball practice we hit the range again with the handguns and the Ruger 10/22. Between Friday and Monday we probably shot about 200 rounds of 9mm and 400 rounds of .22lr.

This was my son following his first shot with the P239 . Sure feels different than the P22!

This was him after getting a feel for it and shooting some more :D.

M-1 Garand, 56 rounds at a CMP clinic

HK P7M8 3 rounds of 9mm. (One mag of one round and then one mag of two rounds for a function check of a new-to-me gun.)

Sig 239 16 ? rounds of 9mm

CZ 75 zero rounds (loaded three mags for my wife though)

S&W Model 10 12 rounds of .38

S&W Model 28-2 zero rounds (I let my wife shoot all the .38 ammo except for 12 rounds)

I didn't actually shot that much for spending all Sunday on the range, but my wife went through almost 200 rounds through all the handguns listed here, except the P7.

I loaded up a few 100 rounds for my neglected Marlin 30-30 on Saturday and shot em up on Sunday.

Had a nice time. It was a really nice day. Bright and sunny and no wind as well. This rifle still had zero after about two years. I was surprised to see that.

And my 1022 was with me as well. Didn't shoot it that much. Just stood around chating after the 3030 was done.

After reading pax's review of Cirillo's course, I did some downed defender drills with 1911 and P-11.

Mags do not DROP UP, trust me, I tried it again to make sure :o

I dry fired with an 870. Young feller just inherited this. After lessons he asked me to take it home, clean it up since he was leaving town.

I put 5# weights each arm, and made believe I shot four 'competition' rds of 100 rds each. All the stations, with 'targets' on the wall. I ran 400x400 :)

Figured I do what I advised he do, to build up stamina.

This thread spans two weekends at the present. :)
Memorial Day weekend I shot:
NM M1 A with Kahles ZF 84 scope on Brookfield mount.
M1 A in E2 configuration.
AR 15 23" HB.
Rem. 700 BDL in 35 Whelen checking some home loads using surplus powder. Seemed to be very nice, will post results to Reloading when all the numbers get crunched.
Rem. 700 Hybrid in .280 Ackley Improved using someone elses load data. Will never post this info.
Friends Custom Enfield in .338 Lapua. Very very nice.
Friends Tanfoglio Witness in 10 MM.
Watched friend shoot .416 Rigby from bench twice and declined his kind offer to give it a try.

I hope that everyone had a safe Memorial Day weeked. I also hope that we all took a few moments to honor those who gave their lives fighting for and defending the freedom that we enjoy.

Best to all.
