Trolling for Vepr info....

I've seen over on that Veprs are coming back into the States and they are no longer being distributed by Robinson Armament. Apparently Atlantic Firearms is one of the operations that will be retailing the Vepr line...with significant price increases.

I passed on buying a Vepr about a year and half ago and I have been holding out in the hopes that someone more reliable would be bringing them back into the market.

Does anyone else have any dirt on this? Thoughts?

Correia, one of the Mods here, does quite a bit of AK type rifle business. Take a look a, his store's website. Hopefully he'll be along to enlighten us soon.

In 2005, we were Robinson Armament's second biggest dealer in the country. We sold a lot of Veprs.

There is a new importer. Details are still being worked out with the Russians. We will have Veprs again. Atlantic Firearms is another group that will also.

I can't say on prices or features, and have been sworn to secrecy. I can say that the price increases are coming from the Russian end of things.

I do have one like new condition 7.62x39 K with brake in stock, but that's it for now. Shoot me a PM if you want it.

You guys were who I was going to buy from back a year and a half ago (one of your group buys) but I put it off (bad move).

I've seen a previous post where you mentioned the Vepr-12...any chance those will make it?

Also...if Veprs are inbound will you be doing hi-caps for the .308s or offering mods through Tromix to get your new Saiga hi-caps to run on the Veprs?

We haven't attempted to mod the mags or Veprs to work with each other. We're shipping the first 300 magazines next week, so I figure people will be tinkering immediatly.

No word on the Vepr 12. It wouldn't be importable in the configuration that you see in the pictures anyway.

I have a Vepr K in 7.62x39 with standard furniture no brake on it. I love the gun. It is built like a tank but it also weighs about as much as one. :) If anything it is nearly over built but it is accurate and reliable and very well put together. Like I said though it is heavy. With a drum it weighs about as much as my toddler. :D I have a Kobra on it and the gun is a pleasure and blast to shoot. When I bought mine it was around 530. I am glad I got it when I did.

I'm really kicking myself for not getting one years back when they were available... Looks like Saiga for me...
