My father and i are here in New Mexico and we usually hunt in the south toward Corona and Reserve. This year we decided to try out the other side by Silver city and Mogollon. No luck of course:cuss: . We saw 5 doe and a hurd of Elk but no buck's. Where are all the Buck's? Next year we are going up North toward Chama and Raton maybe? Any suggestion's were to go for deer or elk? Anyone ever get anything out of the Glenwood (mogollon) area? Thank's

I used to hunt around Silver City. Have gotten deer between Pinos Altos and the Cliff Dwellings to the north, and the Burro mountains to the northwest. I've also seen some monsters in the desert between Hurley and Faywood/City of rocks area.(Land was owned by P.D.) Southwest of there in an area I think was called Soldiers Last Farewell (had something to do with stagecoaches and calvery escorts) there is some low hills and I,d see some nice deer when hunting quail.This area was north of I-10 and west of Deming.I haven't been hunting down in that country for years and shure miss it.
