I just recently got back into shooting, and got myself a Taurus 24/7 Pro 9mm for fun on the range.

I have never owned a holster in my life, so now I am looking for one.

I am a pretty fat guy.

Any suggestions on holster type or positioning that works particularly well for a fat guy?

I know some guys that arent small and they use an IWB from Galco, I wouldnt say im fat but ive got a little bit of the lovehandle thing going on and I have used Galco and Black Hawk IWB and have been pretty satisfied, I like the Galco a little better though.

If your have a really large uppr body you might can get away with a shoulder holster.

Well, there are fat guys, then there are FAT guys. I'm 6'2" and weigh in at about 285 lbs. I generally use a Fobus holster at the 3 o'clock position.

But if you're bigger than me, you might want to take a look at where you can reach, and where you can't, and plan accordingly.
