I had to pass on one today that I'm sure I'll be regretting for a long time. I'm currently in the market for an 1866 Uberti, but ran across a BEAUTIFUL blued 8" Python at a gun show today for $700 All I can say is I better be damned happy with that Uberti when I finally find one.

Awesome and gorgeous collection Brain! Thanks for posting the pics of them!
Scott, that's a great deal on a Python if it's in mint condition. Good thing I don't live in SC or I'd be on that thing like Oprah on a baked ham!
You sure an old Marlin lever action 30-30 wouldn't get you through? hehe
Put a red dot site on the Marlin then you'll have a C.A.R, Cowboy Assualt Rifle- plus maybe still have enough cash left over for the Python. :D
In all seriousness those Yellowboys are slick rifles! First time I've seen one.

Forget the Python I saw. It was gone within a half hour. Suprise, suprise!
I actually sold a Winchester .30-30 while I was there to help fund my Yellowboy. The .30-30 has the tendency to make a sore shoulder after 20 or 30 rds. :what: I'm going for a lever in .45LC and keeping my Marlin .30-30 for the hunting stands.

I own an 4-inch 1981 vintage blue Python like yours! It is one of the nicest Pythons that I have ever seen! For some reason, the bluing on most of these 1981year model Pythons have been excellent! Congratulations on finding such a nice-and desireable Python!

I just bought the gun and the best I've been able to determine, she was born in '69

This brings me to something a bit childish, but amusing.
I'm a bit of a gamer on the side, and with the re-make of Resident Evil; Tokyo-Mauri released an Airsoft speical edition of the Colt Python.

While that's just a big metal toy; I'd pay through the nose to get a real one snazzed up like that; because I both a Gunner and a nerd. :D
