I am trying to help a family member with the guns they have inherited. I would imagine these are Field Grade Guns as they appear to be very plain without any engravings. I will list the information taken off each gun below. If you have a way of dating these or any ideas of values I would be grateful.
Thank you,
Tom

Condition is the biggie when it comes to shotguns like these. So are options, good wood, ribs, etc.

Field grade 12s is so-so shape here start around $350 and go up to $1K.

The last Model 42 field I saw was purchased in near new condtion for $1300 IIRC.

But, these are family guns. I hope they will not be sold to strangers.

For the record, these are some of the best pumpguns ever made.

Winchester Pumps

Model 1912 12 GA. Full Nickel Steel number 73601 - Made 1914

Model 1912 16 GA. Full Nickel Steel number 7247 - Made 1913

Model 12 20 GA. 2 ¾ Cham – Full number 1849085 - Made 1961

Model 42-410 410 GA. 3 IN Cham – Full number 61283 - Made 1947

As mentioned , the value changes with condition and other features - the 20 ga gun will bring more than the 12 ga. and the Model 42 will bring the most money assuming grades and conditions are about equal.
